General History

Born on June 7, 1958, Prince Rogers Nelson is known for being one of the greatest musicians of his generation. With his wide vocal range and hard work, Prince produced all 42 of his albums.

Putting his first album For You out when he was 19, Prince created music with his bands Prince and The Revolution and Prince and The New Power Generation, he also gave songs to The Bangles, Sinéad O'Connor, and Morris Day and The Time.

Prince died at the age of 57 due to an accidental fentanyl overdose.
